How Fomo Family Works: Account, Deposits, Feed and Trading

The eight steps in practice

1. Create an account

Download the app or open the web app and sign up with email, Apple or Google. Fomo creates a non-custodial wallet for you in the background, so there is no seed phrase to write down at this stage. Turn on Face ID, Touch ID or Android biometrics as soon as you are in. If you have a referral code, open the referral link before registering so the discount is attached to the account.

2. Fund the account

Tap deposit, choose a network and the app shows an address. Send the exact asset on the exact network shown (for example USDC on Solana to a Solana address). Wait for confirmations; the balance becomes usable within a minute on most chains. Where available, Apple Pay lets you buy crypto through the Coinbase onramp directly into Fomo. 3. Learn the discovery surfaces

• Feed: real trades from people you follow and top traders, with theses and comments. Filter to friends only if the global feed is noisy.
• Leaderboards: traders ranked by realised profit across chains and time windows.
• Trending and new: tokens by volume, momentum and age, with filters.
• Search: find a token by name or contract address.
• Charts: TradingView charts with holder data and your own P&L overlaid.

4. Check a token before buying

Open the token page and look at liquidity, holder distribution, age and who on the platform is holding it. Read the trade theses of people who bought. A token held mainly by one or two wallets can be dumped at any time.

5. Place a first trade that is deliberately small

Choose a dollar preset or enter an amount, review the confirmation screen and note the fee and the "you receive" figure. Confirm. The tokens appear in your portfolio and the trade is posted to your profile (you can control what is shared). Read fees to understand what you paid.

6. Follow traders, do not blindly copy them

Following a trader adds their trades to your feed and can send alerts. Fomo does not execute trades for you. Use the leaderboard to find people whose reasoning you can learn from, then check their full history before acting on any alert. See copy trading and leaderboards.

7. Manage the position

The portfolio view shows live P&L per token and in total. Sell some or all of a position from the token page. For perps, set a stop loss and take profit when you open the position. See trading, perps and stop loss.

8. Withdraw

Send funds to a wallet you control when they do not need to sit on the platform. Choose the network, paste the address, confirm. Network fees apply. To cash out to a bank, withdraw stablecoins to an exchange that supports fiat withdrawals in your country.

What the app does not do for you

• It does not vet tokens. Anyone can launch a token on Solana or Base; Fomo lists what the chains have.
• It does not stop you overtrading. Alerts, one-tap buys and dollar presets are designed for speed.
• It does not pay interest or offer staking.
• It does not withdraw to bank accounts.
• It does not automatically copy trades.

How long does each step take?

Do I need existing cryptocurrency to use Fomo Family?

No, if Apple Pay via Coinbase is available in your region. Otherwise you need crypto in a wallet or exchange to deposit.

Does following a trader copy their trades automatically?

No. Following shows their activity and can send alerts. Every trade is placed by you.

How long does it take to start trading?

A few minutes: sign-up is instant, and a Solana or Base deposit usually confirms in under a minute.

Can I use Fomo Family on both phone and PC?
