Why Ethereum on Fomo
Ethereum mainnet is where the largest memecoins by market cap live. Pepe coin and Shiba Inu coin trade billions of dollars a day here, and the liquidity on Uniswap is deeper than on any other chain. The Fomo trading app added Ethereum in 2026 so that the same account that buys a fresh Solana launch can also hold the established names.
The trade-off is gas. An Ethereum swap costs dollars, not cents, so mainnet suits larger, slower trades rather than rapid in-and-out scalping. Fomo shows the gas in the quoted total before you confirm, so you always know what a trade costs on this chain.
What you can trade on Ethereum
- Large-cap memecoins such as PEPE and SHIB, with the deepest order books in crypto.
- Established ERC-20 tokens from DeFi, gaming and infrastructure projects.
- Stablecoins including USDC for your cash position.
Token pages show the TradingView chart, liquidity, holder distribution and which traders you follow hold the token.
Fund your Ethereum balance
- Tap Deposit and choose Ethereum. The address is the same as your Base address, but the network is different.
- Send ETH or USDC on Ethereum mainnet from an exchange or wallet. Mainnet transfers cost more than Base or Solana, so for small amounts deposit on those chains instead.
- Because Fomo keeps one balance, money deposited on Solana or Base can buy Ethereum tokens too. You do not need to fund mainnet directly.
Your first Ethereum trade
- Open a token from the feed or paste its contract address into search.
- Tap Buy and enter an amount. On mainnet, larger amounts make the fixed gas a smaller share of the trade.
- Check the confirmation screen: Fomo fee, gas and expected slippage are shown as one total.
- Confirm. Mainnet confirmation takes a little longer than Solana or Base, usually under a minute.

Fees and gas on Ethereum
Gas is the main cost on this chain and varies with network demand. Fomo includes it in the quoted total before you confirm. The Fomo fee is per trade and is 10% lower for the life of the account when you sign up through our link. See Fomo Family fees.
Withdraw from Ethereum
Tap Withdraw, choose Ethereum, paste the destination address and confirm. You pay network gas only. For smaller withdrawals, Base or Solana are far cheaper routes to the same exchange.
Stay safe on Ethereum
Deep liquidity does not remove token risk. Check the holder data, confirm the contract address against a trusted source, and remember that mainnet gas makes small mistakes expensive. Only install Fomo from the Fomo Family app download.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy PEPE and SHIB on Fomo?
Yes. Both trade on Ethereum mainnet inside Fomo, with the exact fee and gas shown before you confirm.
Why is gas higher on Ethereum than on Solana or Base?
Ethereum mainnet processes fewer transactions and charges more per transaction. Layer 2 chains such as Base batch transactions and cost cents.
Do I need to hold ETH for gas?
No. Fomo pays gas from your dollar balance and shows it in the quote.
